There’s nothing like traditional letterpress, combined with luxurious papers. We don our aprons daily and celebrate the refinement and artistry of this time-honored print method – matching inks from the pantone color system and printing from photopolymer plates made right here in the shop.
Our Heidelberg offset press is precisely the right choice for any design that requires clean, saturated coverage. This workhorse lays down thick, rich, and pure floods of color. It's also the perfect solution when you're looking for a fusion of offset and letterpress. Not to show off (ahem), but we specialize in running spot-color floods with tight reverses on specialty papers up to 179#. That’s heav-y.
Elevate your image. Embossing offers several ways to physically raise your image – on several levels. Perhaps your design is just looking for a single-level emboss. Or maybe it's an intricate sculptural emboss that is sure to make your design pop. We offer either a blind emboss (where your image is the same color as your paper) or a registered emboss (where we print your image and then emboss it on a separate pass).
A deboss on a heavier textured paper delivers the best results and allows us to add nuance to your piece. We can help you with either a subtle or deep impression. And the addition of a little ink to the plate can help to enhance the impression and your design. If you're debossing on a lighter paper we also recommend a counter for your die to ensure crisp clean edges. Copper, magnesium, or photopolymer plates work well with this process.
This centuries-old process is long associated with distinction and prestige. Engraving begins with the image being etched out of a die much like intaglio. The die is then mounted with a counter on our die-stamping press, filled with ink, then with tremendous pressure (up to 4000psi) is stamped onto hand-fed paper. The engraved image sits on top of the paper, rendering rich color & fine lines.
Engraved printing includes business cards, corporate and social stationery, wedding invitations, and security documents.
Foil stamping provides the truest color-on-color printing when you’re designing with colored paper. We offer a broad array of vibrant pigments and metallic colors to create the perfect color contrast in your design. Using a light impression to transfer your design to the foil leaf, our pre-heated, etched copper plates are the way to go.
Our services don’t end at the printing press. They wrap up in bindery; with the help of thoughtful post trims you’ll witness tape gun wizardry and zealous wrapping practices, assuring your project is wrapped up, packaged up, and shipped out on time.
